Polk County School Board
LAKELAND -- Mr. Johnnie Lee Kemp of Lakeland died of
heart failure Saturday (June 28, 2003) at Lakeland
Regional Medical Center. He was 71.
Born in Dublin, Ga., he came here 49 years ago. He worked
in maintenance for the Polk County School Board. He was a
member of the Pentecostal Church of God.
Mr. Kemp is survived by his wife, Ola Mae Kemp; sons,
Raymond Lee and Richard Ashley; daughter, Diane Ashley;
brothers, J.D. Lewis, Dublin, Tommy Kemp, Harrisburg,
Pa., Nathaniel Kemp, Chicago, Ill., Daryl Ware, Los
Angeles; and 11 grandchildren.
Graveside services will be this morning at 11 at Laurel
Hill Cemetery.
