LAKELAND -- Mrs. Nancy Norris McKitty of Lakeland died Tuesday (July 27, 2004) in Lakeland. The cause of death is pending autopsy results. She was 69.

She was born in Dunnellon on Dec. 30, 1934. She was a caregiver. She was a member of the Eastern Star. She was a member of By Faith Ministries.

Mrs. McKitty was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Edwards Jr. She is survived by her sons, Charles Mercer, Atlanta, Michael Joseph, Detroit and Larry Smith of Orlando; daughters, Tina Richardson, Princess Moore, both of Lakeland, Marquita Burse, Auburndale; brother, Roosevelt Mercer, Tacoma, Wash.
