MULBERRY -- Mr. Johnnie Neloms of Mulberry died of heart failure Saturday (Aug. 7, 2004) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. He was 82.

Born in Quitman, Ga., he came to Mulberry from there 60 years ago. He was a landscaper for American Cyanamid. He was a member of First Born Church of the Living God where he was a former deacon.

Mr. Neloms is survived by his wife, Lenora Neloms; daughters, Shirley Williams, Mulberry, Johnnie Mae Neloms, Delray Beach; sons, James Neloms, Detroit, Calvin Neloms, Lakeland, Johnny Mack Neloms, Bartow, Alonzo Neloms, Warren Neloms, both of Lakeland; sisters, Bessie Mae Williams, Wilma Newsome, both of Quitman; 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren.

Services were at Coney Funeral Home Chapel.
