EDNA WARD, 87
Schoolteacher
OCALA -- Mrs. Edna Louise Patterson Ward of Ocala, who
has family in Lakeland, died of pneumonia Thursday (Oct.
14, 2004) at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She was
87.
Born in Reddick, she later moved to Ocala. She was a
retired schoolteacher, and a member of the Marion County
Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of the
Order of the Eastern Star Stanley Chapel No. 138. She was
a member of Club Charmont in Reddick, and the Whitehurst
Ladies Society in Lakeland. She was a member of the
Marion Senior Citizens Club in Reddick. She was a member
of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Ocala. She was a member of
the Florida Memorial College Alumni, Marion County
Chapter.
Mrs. Ward was preceded in death by her husband, Earl
Ward. She is survived by her son, Marvin Ward, Pensacola;
daughters, Rhonda W. Evans, Lakeland, Judy A. Ward,
Nashville, Ark.; six grandchildren; two
great-grandchildren.
Services were at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Ocala.
